Life with ADD and Children with Special Needs

Welcome to StopSagdeMor.dk – my personal space and a place where I share honest stories, strategies, and everyday experiences of living with ADD and raising children with special needs.

Daily life is filled with unique challenges, small victories, and moments that give meaning. As a mother of children with special needs and someone living with ADD myself, I understand the demands. It can be overwhelming, but also deeply rewarding.

Living with ADD

ADD is often described as a “superpower,” but the truth is, it takes hard work and structure to make everyday life function. Before I became a mother, I could take breaks and adapt at my own pace. Now, parenting requires me to constantly develop new strategies to balance my own challenges with my children’s needs.

My Everyday Strategies

To create balance and clarity, I’ve developed some tools that work:

  • Short to-do lists: They help me stay focused and give a sense of control.
  • Fixed routines: Structure creates calm – for both me and the kids.
  • Planned breaks: Even when time is short, rest is necessary to recharge.

The Small Victories Matter Most

In our family, we celebrate the little things – because they bring joy, build confidence, and strengthen our bond. A stress-free morning or an evening filled with laughter can feel like a triumph. These small wins are like lighthouses, reminding us that we’re moving in the right direction – one day at a time.

Why StopSagdeMor.dk?
